Dried Orange Slices
  1. Preheat the oven to 200°F.
  2. Wash, dry, and slice oranges of your choosing into 1/8-inch wheels.
  3. Place the orange slices down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake the orange slices for 4 hours, flipping them every 30 minutes.
  5. Once dehydrated, let them cool and store them in an airtight container.

Notes

Oranges: Make sure you are using organic oranges if you plan on using these for anything other than a garnish. Organic oranges are less likely to be sprayed with harmful chemicals and pesticides.


Oven Temperature: Make sure your oven is calibrated correctly. The orange slices should not burn in the four hours they take to dehydrate in the oven. If they start to look burnt, your oven is too hot. Turn it down and continue draining them. Oven thermometers are inexpensive and worth having on hand.
